Arden Shakespeare, including the current Third Series, proves absolutely indispensable for script analysis preparing for audition (made it!!) and lighting design (yeah, insanity doing both) for this classic; director is wants us understanding historical, social, literary contexts and themes, and how they apply in modern day society, keeping the story especially relevant to how women are treated in modern society. The Arden Shakespeare is a standard resource for most of the cast, and for my work both in cast and in lighting design.
