All I need is a good middle school level text to teach Shakespeare. This text is far too advanced for middle-schoolers. Lucky for me, I purchased 2 texts and the other is very age appropriate. The set up is also not very user friendly. The beginning does not clearly state # of male/female parts, only "characters" and "supporting characters" and their names. Casts are too large, especially for teaching introductory Shakespare, even at the high school level. I suppose the "supporting characters" might be nice to fill with students who aren't comfortable on stage or want a smaller part.
