I would rate this book as intermediate. Dan Coates can be difficult but this book was truly written for ease of playing. I was delighted that I could get my used book on Amazon. It was offered at a good price. It will stay busy for sometime on my piano as tunes that I will play daily. I highly recommend this book to pianist who like the old standards. I think children who are entering piano can benefit from the beauty of the old 40s and 50s music.
